Echinacea petal pendant
Echinacea petal pendant
This pendant carries a beautiful impression of an echinacea petal, sourced from right outside my door, immortalized in fine silver with 24k gold applied in thin strips along the length of the petal.
The process used to add the gold to the silver is called Keum-boo. Keum-boo is an ancient Korean gilding technique used to add pure gold to fine silver. Throughout the process, the gold forms a fusion bond with the silver, making it a highly durable heirloom piece.
This piece has been oxidized to create a beautiful contrast between the gold and darkened silver. The perfect pendant for any garden or nature lover.
To ensure long lasting jewelry, all of my pieces are coated with a museum grade anti-tarnish wax.
