This pendant features a beautiful piece of petrified wood that a friend found on Vancouver Island, while I was visiting this summer. The stone's finish has been left how she found it, tumbled to a perfect natural finish by the ocean.
A hand sawn window in the back of the pendant allows you to see the stone's beauty from both sides. I have hand polished the back of the stone to bring out the beautiful pattern.
The pendant has been oxidized and I have selectively polished and highlighted the silver, making a beautiful contrast with the oxidized areas.
The oxidized twist rope chain is my suggested chain for this stone because the patterns in the chain mimic the pattern in the petrified wood, making them the perfect pairing.
