Please leave your desired ring size in a note to me at checkout or with a follow up email. These rings fit me best when they are 1/2 a size larger than my finger size due to the slightly band.
The Changing Tides Ring: a ring to wear as a reminder of the beautiful ocean and the hope ahead that things will not always be as they are.
The band in the picture is an example of how your hand crafted band will appear. Each band is hand drawn and textured and, as with the nature of handmade items, your band design may vary slightly from the band in the picture.
The completed rings in the pictures were completely handcrafted from sterling and fine silver. The wave detailing on the band will be hand drawn, sawn out of sterling silver sheet, textured by hand, and oxidized to bring out all the little details.
Ring bands are thick and weighty (made from 16 gauge sterling silver with another 24 gauge wave detailing soldered on). The back plate is also made from thick 16 gauge sterling silver.
If you aren't traveling this year, you can still enjoy a beautiful ocean view when you look down at your finger.
Sea glass measurements and info:
Teal green: Japanese sea glass 13mm wide x 13mm high x 8mm deep
This is the largest of these group of sea glass pieces. It has a beautiful very subtle mossy green wispy stripe through the teal green sea glass.
Aquamarine: Japanese sea glass 11mm wide x 9mm high x 6.5mm deep
Light teal blue: Japanese sea glass 11.5mm wide x 10mm high x 6mm deep
It would be beautiful set in an East West or North South orientation
Light teal gray: English sea glass 11mm wide x 11mm wide x 7mm deep
A gorgeous and glowy piece that has a beautiful tiny air bubble captured inside.
I will only use genuine sea glass in my jewelry all of these pieces of sea glass have been purchased from reputable beach combers.
Approximate ring band measurements:
8 mm on the side at the widest point and 6 mm at the most narrow point in the back
16 gauge sterling silver plus 24 gauge wave detailing (a very nice weighty band) and heavy 16 gauge back plate.
Durability:
Each piece of my sea glass pieces go through a process to ensure tarnish will not form under the glass, however, care must still be taken to avoid getting your sea glass pieces wet.
All of my jewelry is entirely made by me with lots of love right in my home studio on the Oregon Coast.
