These pendants feature Vancouver Island basalt beach stones. Basalt is a type of volcanic rock that forms when lava from volcanoes cools down rapidly. It can range in color from black to gray.
The surface of these stones are very smooth, and tumbled to perfection by the ocean.
Encapsulated in a fine silver border, the beach stones rest on a sterling silver back plate that features my makers mark on the backside.
